What happens to an upload
Uploaded PDF, Word and PowerPoint files are read and can feed a new creation. They cannot be edited, merged or converted in place.
How each is read and charged
- PDF: text, plus English OCR on the first 32 scanned pages, at 1 credit a page.
- Word: text only, so headers, footers and comments are not read, at 1 credit per 3,000 characters.
- PowerPoint: slide text only, so notes are not read, at 1 credit a slide.
- Audio: transcribed only when you ask, and charged per minute.
- Video: a read samples 9 frames. It does not watch or transcribe the whole video.
Links and what is not accepted
A pasted link is read as a public web page or PDF, up to its first 30,000 characters. XLSX, ZIP, HTML, SVG, GIF, HEIC and source-code files are not accepted.
