## How much does Manus cost in 2026?

**Answer:** Manus is free to start. Pro starts at $20 a month with 4,000 credits, a second Pro tier starts at $40 a month with 8,000 credits and a 7-day free trial, and Team starts at $20 a seat a month. Annual billing takes 17% off, but the pages we read give no annual dollar amounts.

These are the plan prices in Manus's help center, which says everything is subject to what the pricing page shows. manus.im/pricing is a JavaScript page that returned no readable plan text to us, so we could not compare the two. Existing members keep their prices: Manus says the original Basic and Plus plans were renamed Pro and still auto-renew at unchanged prices.

Pro has higher tiers than the two the help center spells out. The Pro in-app purchases on Apple's App Store listing for Manus are priced at $20, $40, $60, $80, $100 and $200, plus a $39.99 entry, without credit amounts or billing periods, so what each higher tier includes is not verified. Manus sets prices in US dollars, and your bank converts them if you pay in another currency.
- Free: $0, with 300 daily credits and Manus 2.0 Lite in Agent Mode.
- Pro: from $20 a month for 4,000 monthly credits.
- Pro (second tier): from $40 a month for 8,000 monthly credits, with a 7-day free trial.
- Team: from $20 per seat a month, including everything in Pro.
- Annual billing: 17% discount on Pro and Team; dollar amounts not verified.
- Extras: Cloud Computer $30 or $50 a month, SSO $150 flat, website hosting by usage.

## What does each Manus plan include, and who is it for?

**Answer:** Free gives chat, the Lite agent model and one task at a time. Pro adds the full set of Manus 2.0 agent models, 20 concurrent tasks, Wide Research, website deployment and slides. Team adds single sign-on, data training opt-out, usage analytics and shared slide templates on top of Pro.

Free users get Chat Mode and Manus 2.0 Lite in Agent Mode, with 1 concurrent task and 2 Scheduled Automations. Pro users get Chat Mode plus Manus 2.0 Max, Manus 2.0 and Manus 2.0 Lite in Agent Mode, advanced research, professional website deployment, slide generation, Wide Research, 20 concurrent tasks, 20 Scheduled Automations and early access to beta features.

Manus describes Free as suited to people with low functional requirements who want to try the basics, Pro as suited to users who need in-depth research and professional reports, and Team as suited to enterprise or team users who need collaboration, data privacy protection and advanced management. Team plans also include SSO, data training opt-out, team usage analytics, internal access control and shared slide templates.

The desktop app has no separate credit bundle. It uses the same credits as the web app, and it does not use credits just by being open.
- Free: try the basics, one task at a time, Manus 2.0 Lite only in Agent Mode.
- Pro: research, reports, websites, slides, up to 20 concurrent tasks.
- Team: Pro plus SSO, data training opt-out, analytics and access control.
- Enterprise and larger teams: contact Manus sales.

## Is Manus free, and what are the free plan's limits?

**Answer:** Yes. Manus gives 1,000 credits on registration and 300 daily credits, but daily credits work only with Manus 2.0 Lite, free users can spend at most 1,500 daily credits a month, and Free allows 1 concurrent task and 2 scheduled automations.

Manus says it gives every new free user 1,000 credits on registration and refreshes 300 daily credits for free. Daily credits arrive when you log in, reset at 00:00 UTC, do not roll over and are valid for 24 hours. The monthly consumption limit for daily refresh credits is 1,500 for free users and none for paid users.

Daily credits can only be used for Manus 2.0 Lite, and free users can use only Manus 2.0 Lite in Agent Mode, so the daily credits do not reach Pro-only models. Free credits never expire. Manus says it cannot give individual users additional free credits and that commercial pricing was set during the testing phase and may be adjusted.

Free also limits you to 1 concurrent task and 2 Scheduled Automations.
- Free includes: 1,000 registration credits, 300 daily credits, Chat Mode, Manus 2.0 Lite in Agent Mode.
- Free limits: 1,500 daily credits a month, 1 concurrent task, 2 scheduled automations.
- Daily credits expire after 24 hours at 00:00 UTC and cannot be used with Pro-only models.

## How do Manus credits work, and what runs out first?

**Answer:** Credits pay for the language-model tokens, virtual machines and third-party APIs a task uses, and they are spent in a fixed order: event credits, daily credits, monthly credits, add-on credits, then free credits. Daily credits work only with Manus 2.0 Lite and monthly credits do not roll over, so spend them before your renewal date.

Manus says the credits a task uses depend on its complexity and duration, and credits are consumed only while a task is actively processing. Completed tasks and stored or deployed outputs do not use credits. Manus refunds consumed credits for tasks that fail because of technical issues on its side.

Monthly credits refresh on the same date each month based on your subscription date, and unused monthly credits are cleared at the start of the next cycle, on annual plans too. Add-on credits need an active paid subscription, and the help center offers them only to users on the highest tier of monthly credits. It says they carry over while you stay subscribed and become inactive if you switch to Free or let the subscription lapse, while the documentation says add-on credits never expire. Plan for the stricter rule.

Manus deducts each action's cost at the start of the next action, so a balance can briefly go negative, and you cannot start new tasks while available credits are at or below zero. Upgrading mid-cycle keeps your renewal date and issues the credit difference for the remaining time. Manus's help center says it cannot yet predict a task's credit cost and that any credit promise the agent makes should be treated as a hallucination, while its plans page says the dashboard shows estimates, so the two pages conflict.
- Spent in order: event credits, daily credits, monthly credits, add-on credits, free credits.
- Monthly credits: refresh on your subscription date, no rollover.
- Add-on credits: only usable with an active paid subscription; offered to users on the highest monthly credit tier.
- No reliable pre-task credit estimate, according to Manus's help center.

## Why is Manus so expensive?

**Answer:** Manus meters work, not messages: a task's cost comes from the tokens, virtual machine time and third-party API calls it uses, and Manus says it cannot predict that cost in advance. By our arithmetic, plan credits cost $0.50 per 100 on the $20 Pro plan, and an add-on pack on the iPhone listing costs $1 per 100.

Manus's help center says the credits for each task are set by its complexity and duration. Manus itself says commercial pricing was put in place during the testing phase because of costs and may change. It also says that, in one tested configuration, its new Cascade system used 23.2% fewer tokens and cost 32% less to run than the previous system, which is a vendor claim from one configuration and not an average.

The $20 Pro plan includes 4,000 monthly credits. Apple's listing shows a credit pack of 2000 Manus Credits for $20.00. Dividing price by credits gives about $0.50 per 100 credits on the plan and $1.00 per 100 on the pack. That is FluxGravity's arithmetic on listed prices, and the listing does not say whether other pack sizes cost the same per credit.

Because there is no reliable estimate before a task starts, the main controls are on your side: split large jobs into smaller tasks, state your requirements precisely at the start, avoid repeated retries, and watch the usage page. Manus's own tips say the greater the context Manus must process, the higher the execution cost. If you want to pay a model provider directly, Manus Flex lets you connect your own API key, while other services a task uses still consume Manus credits.
- What sets cost: task complexity, task duration, tokens, virtual machines, third-party APIs.
- $20 Pro: 4,000 credits, about $0.50 per 100 credits (our arithmetic).
- Add-on pack on the iPhone listing: 2000 credits for $20, about $1.00 per 100 (our arithmetic).
- Ways to spend fewer credits: smaller focused tasks, precise first prompts, fewer retries.

## What does Manus cost on top of the plan price?

**Answer:** Four things cost extra: add-on credits for top-tier users, a Cloud Computer ($30 or $50 a month), usage-based hosting for websites you publish, and single sign-on ($150 flat for teams under 30 seats). Taxes and bank conversion fees can also raise the final charge.

Cloud Computer is a persistent Ubuntu server that keeps running outside your Manus sessions. The Standard plan is $30 a month with 2 vCPUs, 4 GB of RAM and 70 GB of storage, and the Advanced plan is $50 a month with 2 vCPUs, 8 GB of RAM and 120 GB of storage. If you stop paying, the virtual machine is shut down and the files, tools and databases stored on it are deleted, though outputs already delivered in chat stay in your history.

Websites you publish are billed in two ways: building uses credits, while hosting, databases, AI features and API calls use a separate usage balance. Every account gets free monthly allowances of $10 cloud, $1 AI and $1 API. Manus's own estimates for a month of traffic range from a subscription-only landing page to a subscription plus about $248 for a busy e-commerce site. Sites on a custom domain go offline if your subscription ends, while manus.space sites can stay online.

SSO costs a flat $150 plus tax for teams under 30 seats and is free from 30 seats. Cue phone numbers are bought separately from your Manus membership. The final charge can exceed the listed price because of sales tax, bank conversion fees and foreign transaction fees, and Manus says web and mobile membership prices are consistent.

Commercial use is covered in a help center article. Manus says you own all content you create with it and may use output for personal or commercial purposes, subject to applicable laws and third-party rights, and it warns that AI outputs may not be unique or protectable under IP laws. We did not read the Terms of Use, which are a JavaScript page.

One upgrade rule matters for cost: when you upgrade through Apple, the original order is refunded and the new plan is charged at full price, and on Google Play you pay the full price of the new plan. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
- Add-on credits: pack on the iPhone listing, 2000 credits for $20; offered to users on the highest monthly credit tier.
- Cloud Computer: Standard $30 a month, Advanced $50 a month.
- Website hosting: free monthly allowances of $10 cloud, $1 AI, $1 API, then usage-based.
- SSO: $150 flat plus tax under 30 seats, free from 30 seats.
- Tax and bank fees: not included in listed prices.

## Which Manus plan should you get, and is Manus Pro worth it?

**Answer:** Start on Free to see how fast your tasks use credits, move to Pro ($20) if you run research, reports, websites or slides every week, and move up a tier if 4,000 credits run out. Whether Pro is worth it cannot be settled from documents, because Manus publishes no credits-per-task figures.

What Manus documents for Pro is 4,000 monthly credits from $20, access to Manus 2.0 Max, 20 concurrent tasks, 20 scheduled automations and the research, website and slide tools. What it does not document is how many finished tasks 4,000 credits buy, because cost depends on each task.

A low-risk test uses the free plan first: 1,000 credits on registration and 300 daily credits show how fast credits move on Manus 2.0 Lite. The $40 Pro tier is listed with a 7-day free trial, and cancelling before the first charge costs nothing. If you cancel after a charge, only the next renewal is cancelled and the charge is not refunded.

Manus's refund articles are unclear on one point. One says users can report unsatisfactory outputs and get credits refunded after verification, while another says refunds are not issued for subjective dissatisfaction and are issued for verifiable bugs or platform malfunctions. Read both before relying on a refund.
- Trying Manus: Free, $0, 1,000 registration credits plus 300 daily credits.
- Regular research, reports, websites or slides: Pro from $20, 4,000 credits.
- Running out of credits on Pro: move to a higher tier; add-on credits are offered only at the highest tier.
- A team: Team from $20 per seat, with SSO and data training opt-out.
- An always-on server or game backend: Cloud Computer, $30 or $50 a month.
- A finished document, deck, spreadsheet, video or research report from one brief: FluxGravity, which published this page, is another option; see the comparison.

## How much does the Manus Team plan cost?

**Answer:** Team starts at $20 per seat a month, with a 17% discount for annual billing, and includes everything in Pro plus SSO, data training opt-out, team usage analytics, internal access control and shared slide templates. Team and Enterprise plans share a pool of credits, and SSO is a $150 flat fee for teams under 30 seats.

Manus describes the Team plan as a multi-seat subscription where each user gets their own Manus account. Its documentation says Team and Enterprise plans include shared credit pools that all team members can access. The exact credits per seat are not stated in the pages we read (not verified), and Enterprise pricing goes through Manus sales.

Task privacy differs by role. On an individual plan, tasks are private by default. On a Team plan, the Team Owner can access all session data of team members, including task steps and content, and can monitor credit usage and export session data. A Team Administrator can access a subset, and a member's tasks are visible to the owner and, to a limited extent, the administrator. Team members can opt out of data training under the plan features.

SSO is free for teams with 30 or more members and a flat $150 plus tax below that. Seats on the Team plan are subscribed from the Pricing page by choosing Get Team.
- Team: from $20 per seat a month; 17% off with annual billing.
- Includes: all Pro features, SSO, data training opt-out, usage analytics, access control, shared slide templates.
- Credits: shared pool across the team; per-seat amounts not verified.
- SSO: $150 flat plus tax under 30 seats; free from 30.

## Is Manus AI a Chinese company?

**Answer:** In the Manus pages we read, the company says it operates from Singapore, and none of them describes it as Chinese. Manus announced on December 29, 2025 that it was joining Meta, and it says it formally resumed independent operations on September 1, 2026, led by its founding team.

In its December 29, 2025 post about joining Meta, Manus said it would keep selling and operating its subscription service through its app and website and that the company will continue to operate from Singapore. In a note to users dated August 11, 2026, it said it would return to operating as an independent company and that its data is stored in the US and Singapore. The same note says Meta acquired Manus on December 29, 2025.

On September 1, 2026, Manus said it has formally resumed independent operations under its founding team. Apple lists the publisher and seller of the Manus iPhone app as Butterfly Effect Pte. Ltd. The pages we read do not describe the company's nationality, investors or headquarters address beyond this, so those details are not verified, and Manus points to its Trust Center for data handling.

For some users, the separation required backing up and restoring data in August 2026, and Manus says there is no deadline to restore backed-up data. Unaffected users did not need to act.
- December 29, 2025: Manus announced it was joining Meta and said it would continue to operate from Singapore.
- August 11, 2026: Manus said it would return to independent operation and that data is stored in the US and Singapore.
- September 1, 2026: Manus said it has formally resumed independent operations.
- Nationality, investors and headquarters address: not verified.

## Is Manus better than ChatGPT?

**Answer:** Documents cannot settle it, and we did not test either product. Manus says it is built for autonomous execution, such as researching 100+ sources, building apps and running recurring tasks, while ChatGPT's page lists Go at $8, Plus at $20 and Pro from $100 a month.

Manus's own comparison page argues that ChatGPT is advisory and task-bound while Manus is goal-driven, and it says Manus can research 100+ sources at once with Wide Research, build and deploy apps, handle 100+ files and run tasks around the clock. It also says ChatGPT excels at speed, clarity and accessibility for everyday tasks, and it recommends ChatGPT for quick answers, brainstorming, learning and clear drafts. These are Manus's claims about a competitor, not tested results.

The prices differ in structure. ChatGPT sells fixed monthly plans, with Free at $0, Go at $8, Plus at $20 and Pro from $100. Manus sells monthly credits that tasks consume, from $20 for 4,000 credits, so what you get depends on your tasks. We did not read ChatGPT's feature pages beyond its plan prices, so this page does not compare their capabilities.

A fair way to choose is by the job. For quick questions and drafts, a fixed-price chat plan is easier to budget. For multi-step work you want delivered as files, sites or apps, try Manus's free credits on a real task first and note how many credits it used.
- Manus claims: autonomous execution, Wide Research, app building, 100+ files, scheduled tasks.
- Manus says ChatGPT suits quick answers, brainstorming, learning and clear drafts.
- ChatGPT plans: Free $0, Go $8, Plus $20, Pro from $100.
- Not tested or verified here: output quality or speed of either product.

## How does Manus pricing compare with Genspark, ChatGPT, Claude and FluxGravity?

**Answer:** At about $20 a month, Manus Pro ($20), ChatGPT Plus ($20), Claude Pro ($20) and FluxGravity Pro ($20) line up, while Genspark Plus is $24.99. The plans meter different things: Manus and Genspark sell credits, ChatGPT and Claude sell usage limits, and FluxGravity sells monthly credits.

These are plain facts from each vendor's own pages. They do not show which product gives more finished work, because credits, usage limits and tasks are not equivalent across products.

FluxGravity wrote this page and is included because readers comparing agent-style plans may also want a paid AI workspace. FluxGravity's Free plan gives 100 credits once, and its Spark, Pro and Ultra plans give 650, 2,800 and 7,000 credits a month at $5, $20 and $50. Paid credits renew monthly and do not roll over. Cost per document, deck or video is not known for any of these products, so this page does not compare cost per output.
- Manus: Free, Pro from $20 (4,000 credits), $40 tier (8,000 credits), Team from $20 a seat.
- Genspark: Free, Plus $24.99 (10,000 credits), Pro $249.99 (125,000 credits), Team $40 a seat.
- ChatGPT: Go $8, Plus $20, Pro from $100, Business $20 a user billed annually.
- Claude: Pro $20, Max from $100, Team standard seat $20 billed annually.
- FluxGravity: Spark $5, Pro $20, Ultra $50.

## How do you cancel Manus or get a refund?

**Answer:** Cancel on the platform where you subscribed: your Manus account for Stripe, iPhone Settings for Apple, or Google Play. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 1 to 15 business days once processed, Apple decides its own refunds, and Manus's help center states no refund window.

On the web, open your profile, choose Account, then Upgrade or Manage, and select Downgrade to Free. For Apple, go to iPhone Settings, your Apple Account, Subscriptions, then Manus and Cancel Subscription. For Google Play, use Menu, Subscriptions, then the Manus subscription. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription, and Manus does not support cross-platform changes, so use the platform you first subscribed on.

To ask for a membership refund on Stripe, Google Play or Alipay, contact Manus with your order or invoice number, account email and reason. If conditions are met, the refund is processed to your original payment account in 1 to 15 business days, and Alipay refunds are possible only within 90 days. Apple refunds must be requested from Apple. The articles we read do not state the refund conditions or a refund window (not verified).

If you bought an annual plan by mistake, send your invoice to Manus, and if you meet the refund requirements the team refunds it and you can then subscribe monthly. Credit refunds are separate: Manus refunds credits for verified platform bugs and needs a shareable task link. Add-on credits become inactive if your subscription lapses.
- Stripe (web): Account, Upgrade or Manage, Downgrade to Free.
- Apple: iPhone Settings, Apple Account, Subscriptions, Manus, Cancel Subscription.
- Google Play: Menu, Subscriptions, Manus, Cancel subscription.
- Free trial: cancel before the first charge to pay nothing; after a charge only the next renewal is cancelled.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Manus better than ChatGPT?

We did not test either, so we cannot say. Manus's own comparison page says Manus is built for autonomous execution, such as researching 100+ sources and building apps, and that ChatGPT excels at quick answers and everyday tasks. ChatGPT costs $0, $8 (Go), $20 (Plus) or from $100 (Pro) a month, while Manus Pro starts at $20 for 4,000 credits.

### Why is Manus so expensive?

Manus charges credits for the tokens, virtual machines and third-party APIs a task uses, so cost depends on each task and cannot be predicted in advance. By our arithmetic, plan credits cost about $0.50 per 100 on the $20 Pro plan and the iPhone add-on pack costs about $1 per 100. Manus says it set commercial pricing during testing because of costs and may change it.

### Is Manus AI Pro worth it?

It depends on your tasks, because Manus publishes no credits-per-task figures. Pro gives 4,000 credits from $20, Manus 2.0 Max, 20 concurrent tasks and research, website and slide tools. Test with the free 1,000 registration credits and 300 daily credits first, and note how many credits a real task uses.

### Is Manus AI a Chinese company?

In the Manus pages we read, the company says it operates from Singapore and stores data in the US and Singapore, and none describes its nationality. It said it joined Meta on December 29, 2025 and formally resumed independent operations on September 1, 2026. Investors and headquarters address are not stated in the pages we read.

### How much does Manus cost per month?

Free is $0. Pro starts at $20 a month with 4,000 credits, a second Pro tier starts at $40 with 8,000 credits and a 7-day free trial, and Team starts at $20 per seat. Apple's listing shows Pro products up to $200, and what the higher tiers include is not verified.

### Is there a free version of Manus?

Yes. Free gives 1,000 credits on registration and 300 daily credits that work only with Manus 2.0 Lite, plus 1 concurrent task and 2 scheduled automations. Free users can spend at most 1,500 daily credits a month, and Manus says it cannot give individual users extra free credits.

### Do Manus credits roll over?

Monthly credits do not roll over; they refresh on your subscription date and unused credits are cleared. Daily credits expire at 00:00 UTC each day. Add-on credits need an active paid subscription, and Manus's help center and documentation disagree on whether they ever expire.

### How much does Manus Cloud Computer cost?

Standard is $30 a month with 2 vCPUs, 4 GB of RAM and 70 GB of storage. Advanced is $50 a month with 2 vCPUs, 8 GB of RAM and 120 GB of storage. If you stop paying, the files, tools and databases on that Cloud Computer are deleted.

### Can I get a refund on Manus?

Membership refunds go to your original payment method within 1 to 15 business days once processed, and Apple decides App Store refunds. Manus's help center states no refund window or conditions in the articles we read. Credits are refunded for verified platform bugs, and cancelling a 7-day free trial before the first charge costs nothing.

### Can I use what Manus makes commercially?

Manus says you own the content you create, including websites, images, videos and slides, and may use output for personal or commercial purposes, subject to applicable laws and third-party rights. It adds that AI outputs may not be unique or protectable under IP laws. This comes from a help center article, not the Terms of Use, which we did not read.

### How does Manus pricing compare with Genspark, ChatGPT and Claude?

Manus Pro starts at $20 for 4,000 credits, ChatGPT Plus is $20, Claude Pro is $20 and Genspark Plus is $24.99 for 10,000 credits. At the top, Genspark Pro is $249.99, ChatGPT Pro starts at $100 and Claude Max starts at $100. Each meters usage differently, so price alone does not show which does more work.

### Where does the information on this page come from?
