## How much does Kling AI cost per month?

**Answer:** Kling's paid plans list at $10 a month (Standard, 660 credits), $37 (Pro, 3,000 credits), $92 to $428 (Premier, 8,000 to 38,000 credits) and $619 (Ultra+, 57,000 credits), and new subscribers see a lower first-month price.

These are the monthly list prices on Kling's membership page on October 18, 2026. The page shows the first-month offer first and the list price struck through. Standard, for example, shows $6.99 for the first month, a $10 list price and a stated renewal of $8.8 a month. Pro shows $25.99, $37 and $32.56. Kling labels the first-purchase offer as available once.

Yearly billing is shown as a total. Standard is $79.2 a year (list $120) and Pro is $293.04 a year (list $444). Premier and Ultra+ show a first-year price and a higher price afterward, for example Premier 18K at $1,490 for the first year and $1,639.99 a year after that.

Promotions change often. When we read the page it showed a countdown banner for a 40% off promotion with about 10 days left, so confirm the price at checkout before you buy.
- Standard: $10 list, $6.99 first month, $8.8 renewal, 660 credits a month.
- Pro: $37 list, $25.99 first month, $32.56 renewal, 3,000 credits a month.
- Premier: $92 (8K), $207 (18K), $322 (28K) or $428 (38K) list, 8,000 to 38,000 credits a month.
- Ultra+: $619 list, $402 first month, $544.99 renewal, 57,000 credits a month.

## What is Kling AI?

**Answer:** Kling AI is a video and image generation service with a web studio and app, a Canvas workspace and an API; its homepage lists Kling 4.0 for video and Kling Image 3.0 for images.

Kling's homepage lists a Creative Studio and an API, with Kling 4.0 as its newest video model, Kling Image 3.0 for stills, a Canvas workspace where an agent helps write scripts and generate images, videos and storyboards, and an MCP and CLI option for agents. Kling's API page says its packages cover text-to-video, image-to-video, multi-image-to-video, multi-element video editing, video extension, avatar, lip sync, video effects, text-to-audio and video-to-audio.

That list is Kling's own description of the product. We did not generate video in Kling, so this page does not rate any of it. It uses the list only to explain what the plans and credits below pay for.
- Studio: web and app, with Kling 4.0 and Kling Image 3.0.
- Canvas: a workspace where an agent helps with scripts, images, videos and storyboards.
- API: prepaid packages priced per unit, billed per second of video.

## What does each Kling AI plan include, and who is it for?

**Answer:** Every paid plan lists fast-track generation, 1080p and 4K video generation and brand watermark removal; higher plans add more credits and more reference elements, and Pro and above add priority access to new features.

The membership page lists the same core benefits on Standard, Pro, Premier and Ultra+: daily free credits for subscribers, no cap on queued tasks, fast-track generation, 1080p and 4K video generation, brand watermark removal and commercial use of generated content. Pro and above add priority access to new features, and Ultra+ lists a beta test invite where applicable. The comparison table lists element creation quantity as 30 on Basic, 50 on Standard, 150 on Pro and Premier, and 500 on Ultra+, and up to 4 videos per generation on paid plans against 1 on Basic.

Premier has four credit levels, 8K, 18K, 28K and 38K, which Kling treats as equal in priority. Kling's FAQ says Ultra is no longer available for new subscriptions. Kling's terms also list Team and Enterprise memberships. Team is charged per seat per month, but the seat price was not shown to a signed-out visitor, so it is not verified.

Our reading of the page, not a Kling recommendation: Standard suits a trial month or light use, Pro suits regular monthly use, and the Premier and Ultra+ tiers only make sense if you spend thousands of credits every month. The page shows a lower price per 100 credits as you move up: $1.06 on Standard, $0.87 on Pro, $0.75 on Premier 18K and $0.71 on Ultra+, measured on the first-month price.
- Basic: $0, 30 elements, 1 video per generation.
- Standard: 660 credits, 50 elements, up to 4 videos per generation.
- Pro: 3,000 credits, 150 elements, priority access to new features.
- Premier and Ultra+: 8,000 to 57,000 credits; Ultra+ adds a beta test invite where applicable.

## Can I use Kling AI for free?

**Answer:** Yes, with limits: the Basic plan is $0, but the plan table lists no monthly credits, non-members must label output with Kling branding, and Kling lists Basic output as not for commercial use.

Kling's own credit guide, dated July 28, 2026, lists Basic as $0 with no monthly credits, 30 elements and generated content that is not for commercial use. The live membership table shows the same $0 plan with no monthly credits and a limit of one video per generation.

Kling's credits FAQ also mentions monthly free credits for non-subscribers, claimed on login and valid for 31 days, and daily bonus credits for subscribers. None of the Kling pages we read says how many free credits that is, so the amount is not verified.

Kling's paid-services terms say non-members must label content generated on the site with the Kling brand and logo, while members hold the right to remove brand watermarks. Treat free output as branded and personal use, and test Kling on one real brief before you pay.
- Basic: $0, no monthly credits in the plan table.
- Free credits for non-subscribers: exist, amount not verified.
- Output from non-members must carry Kling branding.

## How do Kling AI credits work, and when do they expire?

**Answer:** Credits are Kling's usage unit: monthly plan credits last 31 days, purchased credits last 2 years, and the credits that expire soonest are spent first.

Kling's FAQ lists how long each type lasts: monthly credits 31 days from issue, purchased credits 2 years, 7-day trial credits 7 days, daily bonus credits for subscribers until 24:00 local time that day, and monthly free credits for non-subscribers 31 days. When a subscription expires, unused monthly credits expire, while non-subscription credits still inside their validity stay usable.

Kling's credits policy sets standard pricing for bought credits at $1 for 66 credits, which is about $1.52 per 100 credits by our arithmetic. That is more than the $0.71 to $1.06 per 100 credits the plan page shows for subscriptions, so buy credits one-off only for occasional top-ups. Promotions can discount credit packs.

Credits for a failed generation are refunded, but credits cannot be transferred, gifted or converted to cash. Owning credits does not grant subscription benefits: watermark removal, fast-track generation and 4K generation need an active subscription. Kling also limits you to one active subscription at a time, with higher tiers taking priority.
- Monthly credits: 31 days. Purchased credits: 2 years.
- Standard purchase rate: $1 buys 66 credits.
- Failed generations: credits refunded.
- Premium-only features: fast-track generation, 1080p video, watermark removal, video extension, image upscaling.

## How much does Kling 3.0 cost?

**Answer:** Kling says native 4K in the 3.0 series costs 30 credits per second; for 720p and 1080p the pages we read give no consumer credit rate, but Kling's API lists Kling 3.0 at $0.084 to $0.168 per second at those resolutions.

Kling's credit guide, dated July 28, 2026, gives one consumer reference: native 4K output for the Kling VIDEO 3.0 series is 30 credits per second, and the series generates 3 to 15 seconds per clip. Kling tells readers to confirm the live generation panel before production because rules change. As an illustration only, at the Pro renewal price of $32.56 for 3,000 credits, one second of 4K at 30 credits works out to about $0.33. That is our arithmetic, not a Kling price.

For developers, Kling's API price list is per second. Kling 3.0 without native audio is 0.6 units ($0.084) at 720P, 0.8 units ($0.112) at 1080P and 3.0 units ($0.42) at 4K. With native audio and no voice control it is 0.9 units ($0.126), 1.2 units ($0.168) and 3.0 units ($0.42). Kling 3.0 Turbo with native audio is 0.8 units ($0.112) at 720P and 1.0 unit ($0.14) at 1080P. One unit is $0.14 at list price.

Kling 4.0 appears on the consumer plans with a limited-time 10% discount from Pro up. Kling's API packages say they do not currently support Kling 4.0, and we did not find a per-second credit rate for Kling 4.0 on a public page.
- 4K, Kling 3.0 series: 30 credits per second (consumer credits).
- API, 3.0 without audio: $0.084 (720P), $0.112 (1080P), $0.42 (4K) per second.
- API, 3.0 with native audio, no voice control: $0.126, $0.168, $0.42 per second.
- Kling 4.0: not priced on a public page we could read.

## Which Kling model should you use?

**Answer:** Choose by feature and price, not by version number: Kling 3.0 and 3.0 Omni have per-second API prices, Kling 3.0 Turbo is priced with native audio, and Kling 4.0 is on the consumer plans but not in the API packages.

Kling describes Kling 4.0 as supporting dynamic motions, Omni reference, native 30 second generation and multiple keyframes, and Kling 3.0 and 3.0 Omni as synchronized audio-video generation, intelligent storyboarding and element reference. The membership page also lists Kling Motion Control, and lists VIDEO 2.6 Voice Control as free on every plan.

Price differs by model. In the API, Kling 3.0 Turbo with native audio is $0.112 per second at 720P, Kling 3.0 without native audio is $0.084, and Kling 3.0 Omni with video input and no native audio is $0.126. Kling 4.0 is not covered by the prepaid API packages, and its consumer credit rate is not on a public page we read.

In practice, test one prompt on the model you plan to use and read the credit cost shown in the generation panel before you run a batch, because rules and access change.
- Kling 4.0: consumer plans, limited-time 10% off from Pro up; not in API packages.
- Kling 3.0 and 3.0 Omni: API prices from $0.084 per second at 720P.
- Kling 3.0 Turbo: native audio from $0.112 per second at 720P.

## What does Kling AI API pricing look like for developers?

**Answer:** Kling sells prepaid API packages from $700 for 5,000 units at $0.14 a unit, valid for 180 days with no rollover, plus a $9.8 trial package for 100 units.

Kling's developer pricing page lists five standard packages. Package 1 is $700 for 5,000 units and Package 2 is $2,100 for 15,000, both at $0.14 per unit. Packages 3, 4 and 5 carry a 10% discount, which brings the unit price to $0.126: $3,780 for 30,000 units, $5,670 for 45,000 and $7,560 for 60,000. Each standard package has 180-day validity with no rollover or extension and 20 concurrency.

Trial packages are 30% off the first purchase, limited to 5 purchases: $9.8 for 100 units and $98 for 1,000 units, with 30-day validity and 5 concurrency. The page says these plans currently do not support Kling 4.0. We found no Kling page that converts API units into consumer credits.
- Package 1: $700 for 5,000 units ($0.14 each).
- Package 3: $3,780 for 30,000 units ($0.126 each).
- Trial: $9.8 for 100 units, 30-day validity.
- All prepaid units expire; standard packages last 180 days.

## Which hidden costs and rules should you know before you subscribe?

**Answer:** Check five things: the renewal price, non-refundable fees, monthly credit expiry, automatic credit recharge, and the commercial-use terms.

The price on the first screen is a first-month offer. Standard renews at $8.8 against a $10 list price, and the first-purchase offer is available once. Kling's terms say fees are non-refundable once a paid service is activated, and credits cannot be exchanged for cash.

Monthly credits are valid for 31 days and expire when the subscription ends. Credit auto-recharge is a separate setting for members: when your balance falls below the threshold you set, Kling charges your payment method and adds credits. Turn it off in Profile, Credits, Auto-Recharge Management, and note that Kling disables it when the membership expires. Kling's terms also say payment providers may add handling fees.

Commercial use: Kling's terms say paid members' use of output is not restricted for commercial purposes, except for developing or offering products that compete with Kling. Kling's FAQ adds that you are responsible for checking portrait rights, copyright, trademark and AI-labeling rules before commercial use. Team plans are billed per seat, and extra seats are charged pro rata for the rest of the cycle.
- Renewal price differs from the first-month price.
- Fees are non-refundable once activated.
- Auto-recharge can spend money when credits run low; turn it off if you do not want that.
- Commercial use needs a paid membership, and you stay responsible for rights clearance.

## How do I cancel my Kling AI subscription?

**Answer:** Cancel where you subscribed: on the web go to Profile, Manage Plan, Cancel Subscription; on iPhone use Settings, your Apple ID, Subscriptions; on Android use Google Play subscriptions.

Kling's FAQ gives three paths. Web or Stripe: Profile, Manage Plan, Cancel Subscription. Apple: Settings, tap your Apple ID, Subscriptions, select the subscription, Cancel Subscription. Google Play: open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, select the subscription, Cancel subscription.

Cancel before the billing cycle ends. Kling's terms say the paid term then expires at the end of the current cycle, and that cancelling within about one day of renewal may be too late because the payment channel may already have processed the next charge. You keep the plan until the cycle ends, and the terms say fees are non-refundable once activated. Kling's terms list support@kling.ai for questions.
- Web: Profile, Manage Plan, Cancel Subscription.
- iPhone: Settings, Apple ID, Subscriptions, Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play, Payments and subscriptions, Cancel subscription.
- Cancel at least a day before renewal.

## Which Kling AI plan should you choose?

**Answer:** Start on Standard to test one real project, move to Pro for regular monthly use, and only choose Premier or Ultra+ if you reliably use thousands of credits a month.

Match the plan to the job, then check the renewal price, not the first-month price. A plan with more credits has a lower price per credit but locks in a bigger monthly charge, and unused monthly credits expire after 31 days.

If you only need the occasional clip, a one-off credit purchase costs more per credit ($1 buys 66 credits) but has no monthly commitment, and purchased credits last 2 years. If you build software on Kling, use the API packages instead of consumer credits.
- Testing Kling on one project: Standard, then cancel before the $8.8 renewal if it does not fit.
- Regular creator: Pro, 3,000 credits at $0.87 per 100 credits on the first-month price.
- High volume or an agency: Premier 18K or Ultra+, from $0.75 down to $0.71 per 100 credits.
- Occasional top-ups: buy credits one-off, accepting the higher rate.
- Developers: prepaid API packages from $700, or the $9.8 trial.
- Teams: Team membership is charged per seat; ask Kling for the seat price.

## How does Kling AI pricing compare with other AI video tools?

**Answer:** Kling's $10 list entry price sits between Google AI Plus at $4.99 and Runway Standard at $15, but credits are not a shared unit, so compare what each plan lets you make.

Among the AI video tools in the table below, entry paid plans run from $4.99 a month (Google AI Plus) to $30 (Luma Plus), and the top individual tiers run from $50 (FluxGravity Ultra) to $880 (the highest Pika Fancy level). Sora is not an option: OpenAI says the Sora web and app ended on April 26, 2026. The table puts plan prices side by side as plain facts and does not say any tool is better.

FluxGravity wrote this page and is included for a narrow reason: FluxGravity is an AI workspace and agent in which video is one output of a larger brief, alongside documents, slide decks, spreadsheets and research reports. Its pricing page lists Free ($0, 100 one-time credits), Spark ($5 a month, $4 billed annually), Pro ($20, $16) and Ultra ($50, $40). Its motion and storytelling workflows are listed for paid plans only. We did not test FluxGravity against Kling, and FluxGravity's cost per output is not known.
- Cheapest entry: Google AI Plus, $4.99 a month.
- Kling Standard lists at $10; Runway Standard at $15; Luma Plus at $30.
- Credits differ by vendor, so a bigger credit number is not more video.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I use Kling AI for free?

Yes, with limits. The Basic plan is $0, but the plan table lists no monthly credits, non-members must label output with Kling branding, and Kling's credit guide lists Basic output as not for commercial use. Kling's FAQ mentions monthly free credits for non-subscribers, valid for 31 days, but we could not verify how many.

### How much do AI apps cost?

Among the AI video tools we checked, entry paid plans run from $4.99 to $30 a month (Google AI Plus to Luma Plus), and top individual tiers run from $50 to $880 a month. Kling spans $10 to $619 a month at list price. Developers can instead pay per second, from $0.05 (Google's Veo 3.1 Lite at 720p) to $0.60 (Veo 3.1 Standard at 4K).

### How do I cancel my Kling AI subscription?

On the web, go to Profile, Manage Plan, Cancel Subscription. On iPhone, use Settings, your Apple ID, Subscriptions. On Android, use Google Play subscriptions. Cancel at least a day before renewal, because Kling's terms say the next charge may already be processed, and fees for the current period are not refunded.

### How much does Kling 3.0 cost?

Kling says native 4K for the 3.0 series is 30 credits per second. Through the API, Kling 3.0 without native audio is $0.084 per second at 720P and $0.112 at 1080P, and $0.126 and $0.168 with native audio and no voice control. We did not find a consumer credit rate for 720p or 1080p on a public page.

### Does Kling AI have an API, and what does it cost?

Yes. Kling sells prepaid packages from $700 for 5,000 units at $0.14 a unit, valid for 180 days with no rollover. Packages of 30,000 units and up cost $0.126 a unit. A trial package is $9.8 for 100 units. The packages do not currently support Kling 4.0.

### Do Kling AI credits expire?

Yes. Monthly plan credits last 31 days, purchased credits last 2 years, 7-day trial credits last 7 days, and daily bonus credits for subscribers expire at 24:00 local time the same day. Credits that expire soonest are used first, and unused monthly credits expire when a subscription ends.

### Can I use Kling AI videos commercially?

Kling says paid members' use of output is not restricted for commercial purposes, except for developing or offering products that compete with Kling. Kling's credit guide lists Basic output as not for commercial use. You are responsible for checking portrait, copyright, trademark and AI-labeling rules before using output commercially.

### Can I get a refund from Kling AI?

Kling's terms say fees are non-refundable once a paid service is activated, and credits cannot be converted to cash. Credits for a failed generation are refunded to your balance. Cancelling stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period.

### What is the difference between the Premier credit levels?

Premier has four levels with the same features and different credits: 8,000, 18,000, 28,000 and 38,000 a month. List prices are $92, $207, $322 and $428 a month, and the price per 100 credits on the monthly view falls from $0.81 to $0.73. Kling treats the four levels as equal in priority.

### What happened to Kling's Ultra plan?
